Description

Eat a bowl of this Ancient Grains Oatmeal for a healthy and delicious start to the day. This Ancient Grains blend is higher in fiber and protein than a traditional bowl of oatmeal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/4 cup quinoa
  • 1/4 cup millet
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon milled chia seeds
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in medium sized pot.
  2. Stir in oats, quinoa, millet, flax and chia seeds and reduce heat to medium low.
  3. Simmer uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed and grains are tender.
  4. Serve warm and top with your favorite oatmeal toppings
