Labor Day Training Adventures
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Eric and I kicked off our Labor Day weekend with a workout at CrossFit Orlando. We did a double WOD because some of our friends are getting ready for a competition next weekend so we practiced some of those WODs. After warmups here's what we did: WOD #1 6 min AMRAP {as many rounds as possible} 6 pull ups 6 clean and jerk WOD #2 8 min for time 50 goblet squats {35# kettlebell} 75 kettlebell swings {35#} 300 singles THEN we all hung out and had breakfast and mimosas together! Ways To Hydrate Without Drinking Water
Gosh, it's so hot out and I don't know about you but I'm just thankful for the days it decides to rain so that I get some relief from the heat. I did a segment last week on Fox 35 on ways to hydrate without water and I wanted to share it with you today. So how much water should we be drinking? It totally depends on your age and activity level, but in general men need 120 ounces per day and women should get 90 ounces of total fluid. 20% of your total fluid intake can come through foods so if you're counting cups of liquid men need 12 cups and women 9 per day + any additional fluids lost through sweat. It's so hot outside this weekend which means it's fro-yo time in our house. I love making frozen yogurt at home because it's super simple, and I know what is in it. This recipe actually makes a pretty healthy treat--loaded with protein and antioxidants.These were the only ingredients I used..and let me tell you, it makes a delicious combo for a frozen snack.The strawberries were bursting with juices.
