Peach Milkshakes

By Kristina LaRue, RDN 5 Comments

Peach milkshakes. Fresh juicy peaches and vanilla frozen yogurt. Creamy frozen yogurt and sweet succulent peaches.
Are you drooling yet?
When I see a peach, I can’t help but pick it up and get a whiff of that fragrant peachy smell. Summertime at it’s finest. Peaches are yummy raw, cut up over oatmeal, grilled with a scoop of frozen yogurt and a dusting of cinnamon, and of course blended into a frozen delight– the peach milkshake.
Yes these milkshakes are made with low-fat frozen yogurt and they are still oh-so-decadent. Each shake is only 350 calories, which is not too shabby if you compare it to the peach milkshake at Chick-fil-A that racks in a whopping 850 calories.
These peach milkshakes are so easy to make and will surely satisfy that summer craving.
Peach Milkshakes
serves 2
2 peaches, pitted
3 cups low fat frozen yogurt
2 tablespoons whipped topping

Place peaches in a blender and process until crushed but still a little chunky. Pour in frozen yogurt and pulse a 2-3 times. With a spoon stir any frozen yogurt that hasn’t combined to form milkshake, taking care not to over stir so it creates a thick texture. Pour milkshake into two chilled glasses and top with a dollop of whipped topping and garnish with a thin peach slice if desired. Sip from a straw.
