Piñata Gender Reveal Party: The Details

We had the most memorable time at our Gender Reveal Party. My parents hosted a sweet get together for us and our closest family and friends. Eric and I didn’t wait until the revel to find out if we were having a boy or a girl because we wanted that moment to be a special one just between us.

Gender Reveal Party

So we had the radiologist put the gender sonogram in an envelope for us and we opened it at our favorite park, and then went to dinner afterwards to celebrate. We only had to keep it a secret a few days last week and the reveal party was on Saturday.

Gender Reveal Party

My mom though of every detail. She had fun Pinterest planning with my sister and making fun decor and my dad planned the meal and manned the BBQ grill.

I was lucky enough to win a giveaway for a piñata from my friend Rachel’s blog; it was perfect timing to use for the party. We busted open a piñata filled with BLUE confetti revealing that we are indeed having a BOY! How did so many of you guess it right? If you’re in the market for a piñata, check out Katie’s Etsy shop! She did such a great job.

Okay so now onto more pictures with the party details. Thanks to Foster Photography for capturing these special moments for us!

My mom made the cake!! It was a vanilla cake with pink and blue frosting inside since she didn’t know the gender yet…

Isn’t this little baby carriage the cutest? My sis and brother’s girlfriend made this for the party!

My sis made these onsie cookies– I just loved the cute suspenders and bow ties on the cookies 🙂 She is so talented.

Gender Reveal Party

We were blown away with all the support from our family and friends. It was a pretty even split between blue and pink. 🙂

Also, thank you all for the overwhelming love that you’ve shown us when we announced the news through social media. We can’t wait to meet this little baby boy in 20 short weeks. I’ll be sure to update you on the journey.

Congrats! Looks like a fabulous celebration. So many cute decorations and the cake is amazing! My firstborn was a boy born Oct. 18th. It’s such a fun month to have a baby and I love having a boy as the oldest. Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly!

Yay! Glad October is a good month. I’ve been secretly thinking the same thing, I’ve always wanted the big brother to look after his sis. 🙂 #fairytale
