OMG– yesterday was seriously the hardest workout of my life. I might be a little dramatic or I’m just completely out of shape but the WOD kicked my butt and today I’m paying for it.

I’m SORE. SORE. SORE.

Realizing that I needed a little more recovery time, I shifted my AM workout plans to tonight, and decided to drink some green juice this morning.

Thank you PB Lovers’ Detox Smoothie for starting my day off right!!

Pineapple

Spinach

Lemon

and PEANUT BUTTER (obvi!)

Here’s yesterday’s workout..

4 FTF (rounds for time with 25 min time cap)

15 cleans

25 burpees 

Seems harmless, right? Yeah I thought so too. I mean come on, it’s just two movements. And then… I found my face on the ground for an extended period of time during the burpees, and my arms did not want to push my body up. The clean weight was 53# for me with RX being 75#. I finished the workout in 22:58, only because I had a buddy encouraging me to keep pushing. I love that about my CrossFit gym! The people are so nice!

Peanut Butter Lovers Detox Smoothie

Eric’s car is in the shop so he dropped me off at CF since he had to go into work early. Pre-workout I was ambitious and thought I’d walk/run home. It’s just over a mile or so and would be relaxing way to cool down. THANKFULLY, sweet girls from my gym saw me walking home and picked me up and we went to Starbucks!! My type of people. And an even better cool down, eh?

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a smoothie recipe and I know how much you all love ’em 🙂 Naturally since it’s Peanut Butter Lovers Month, and I love adding PB to my smoothie, I made this green drink for you! PB Lover’s Detox Smoothie it is!!

PB is soooo good on pancakes too–> If you missed it check out my Funky Monkey Pancakes from yesterday, and drizzle some PB on them for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to blender and mix until smooth and ice is blended.

    Those sleeper wods are always the worst! Ours was 7RFT of 400m run and 29 back squats with a 35 min cap. I didn’t finish but I still did over 150 squats at 80# yesterday and my legs are literally still shaking. Why do we love this so much?! 😉

      7RFT– ouch!! That’s a heck of a lotta squasts! I’m sure you’ll be sore tomorrow. Seriously though, I said the same thing to Eric yesterday– literally still shaking a few hours later!

      So I thought about this today.. I like that I’m sore but I don’t like that I’m sore. That is my conclusion.
