Hey friends!! Did you think I forgot about you today? I didn’t, it’s just been a really full day and I’m just now sitting down at my computer to write this post for day 4 of SMOOTHIE WEEK!

Chocolate + Peanut Butter + Coffee = died and gone to heaven! This is seriously the best combo ever invented all blended up into a healthy low sugar Peanut Butter Mocha Protein Shake! WINNING!

How are you liking the recipes so far? Which smoothie is your favorite?! Avocado Green Smoothie, Coconut Cream Pie Protein Shake, Superfood Smoothie and today…. drum roll….

Peanut Butter Mocha Protein Shake!!!

I hope I’ve created one for each type of smoothie connoisseur! If not let me know in the comments 🙂 We still have one more day of smoothie awesomeness.

I figured I’d recap my day to give you a little “day in the life” of KristinaLaRueRD, Inc.

I started out my day super early (hence why we didn’t get the blog posted this morning). I had to run to a postpartum checkup with my doc– recovery from delivery has by far been the hardest part of this whole mom thing so far.

My mom met me at my appointment to watch Parker, because from my appointment I high tailed it to the Magic for morning practice.

After practice, I made it back to the house in time to visit with my mom a little bit, feed Parker and jump on a client call. This afternoon we shopped around BuyBuyBaby and of course got some cute finds for Parker as well as some essentials for a couple mom-to-be friends that have baby showers this month. It’s baby season for realz!

I had another call this afternoon with my Mastermind ladies, Kara, Jenna, and Carlene to chat about goals and business this year which is always great to catch up with them each month and learn about what all they have going on. They are some movers and shakers I tell ya. I’m constantly inspired by their genius minds.

Post call, my mom left and I’m wrangling Parker while editing these photos and writing this blog post!

My mind created this winning combo after I saw how much you guys liked my Coffee Lover’s Protein Shake and Chocolate PB Protein Shake last year, and figured I needed to combine the three for the triple play– Coffee, Chocolate and Peanut Butter!! Well, get excited because this is a yummy dessert smoothie that’s healthy enough to call breakfast! Win!

Hope you love it as much as I do. See you tomorrow peeps!

I made this recipe the other day. The only thing I switched out was the chocolate protein powder with vanilla protein powder, as it was what I had in the house. It was so delicious. I can’t wait to make it again.

Could this be the PERFECT pre-workout smoothie I was looking for?

It seems like you put all my thoughts together!
I do eat some of these foods before going to the gym, and I was actually wondering how to mix them all in a practical, tasty way.

There are a lot of good combinations here:

    – Coffee + coconut
    It’s a natural thermogenic, which helps you burn fat. Also, the coconut oil helps the caffeine positive effects last longer. So you can use coconut pulp if you want;

    – Ripe banana + peanut butter and protein powder
Despite being so nutritious, many people are afraid of eating ripe bananas because of the sugar. Fortunately, fat and protein blunt its impact. Actually, depending on how ripe the banana is, you don’t even have to add sweeteners!

    – Cocoa + coffee
Both are rich in antioxidants and good for your heart, and taste really good together.

I would add a few more ingredients:

    – Cinnamon
Not only it adds a delicious taste, but it’s also a thermogenic, reinforcing the effects of coffee + coconut.

    – Mint leaves
Well, it’s a cold drink after all! It’s a nice addition if it’s a hot day. To be honest, I like it even if it’s a little chilly!

    – 1 or 2 tbsp of oats
I know a lot of people is frowning upon grains lately, but they are still a good source of fiber and complex carbs. Besides, joining oats and peanuts creates a complete protein with all essential aminoacids. It’s not much, though: 4.4 grams.

Kristina, thank you so much for giving me such a powerful insight, and also inspire me. A healthy life and daily good nutrition can indeed be fun and yummy!

Yes! This sounds absolutely phenomenal and a great source of protein, and I would totally use this as a little sweet treat too (peanut butter + chocolate will always be my weakness). Luckily I have all these ingredients on hand and will be making this tomorrow morning!
