This Watermelon Breakfast Pizza is so it guys! Slice of watermelon, topped with Greek yogurt, seeds, and a drizzle of honey. Make it your own by adding your favorite toppings. The possibilities are endless. It's so hot in herrr. Like stifling hot. The air is teribly humid in here in Orlando this past week that it's hard to breathe outside. We love spending time outside too so it's a bummer! When it's hot like that outside, I'm all about finding ways to cool off (read: beach trips and swimming pools are a must!!) and eating foods that are cool too. Here lately, I've really been into yogurt bowls. Move over oatmeal, we need a bowl of yogurt with watermelon for breakfast to cool us down! I do banana split yogurt bowls nearly every day. ... Sorry for the delay in getting this Cilantro Lime Brown Rice up sooner. I know, you waited so patiently. My plan was to get it posted and scheduled last night but I started attacking my email inbox! AHHH, and then before I knew it, it was midnight and Parker woke up needing to be nursed. We had a big day today. Parker and I met up with some girlfriends for a baby bootcamp by the lake. The babies played together while we did a little circuit workout. It was really good to get outside this morning and get some girl time while the babies entertained each other and our sweat on at the same time. ... View Post

Dark Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie Bowl
Dark Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie Bowls A healthy and delicious way to start the day with chocolate for breakfast! How was your Easter weekend? We had a great time celebrating the resurrection with our family and Parker is still enjoying all the brightly colored Easter eggs. It's so fun seeing him discover new things. Now he's starting to sit up without as much support so play time has begun to be even more fun! The past month and a half has been insane for me. I've been working a bit more out of the house and thankfully we have the best childcare available (Parker's BB and Kiki (my mom and MIL), and I've had a few of projects due which has made it ever more difficult to get to my editorial calendar like I want to. To top it off, I had a health scare that I plan to share more ... View Post

It's got all the good stuff that I need in one bowl, and it's already fixed and ready for me to eat when hunger strikes. Ancient Grains Oatmeal Bowl
Eat a bowl of this Ancient Grains Oatmeal for a healthy and delicious start to the day. This Ancient Grains blend is higher in fiber and protein than a traditional bowl of oatmeal. Today is my first full day away from my sweet baby boy. He's 3 months old and the longest I've been apart from him until today is 4 hours MAX. I'm working over at UCF today since the athletes are back from winter break and likely need a little nutrition shake up after all the holiday eating. Though I love my sports nutrition jobs and happy to be getting back to my old normal schedule, I know today is going to be tough... and hopefully harder for me than him. It makes me feel better that he will be in great hands with my sweet MIL. Bless her. But with exclusively breastfeeding and limited bottle practice, ... View Post

Top 10 Reader Favorite Recipes from 2015
Looking back over 2015, this has been a unique year in terms of my blog mostly because the whole year we have been baby focused. The beginning part of the year I struggled with not wanting to cook (my biggest first trimester symptom), and then with prepping for my maternity leave and baby arriving in October, it was super hard to get regularly scheduled content on the blog. Thanks for being patient with me and for continuing to read, comment, make and share my recipes this year! Through it all, it's been the most successful year to date for my blog which has allowed me to give it a bigger focus in 2016 as I'm going to be working on my nutrition business full time! I truly love this space, being creative, developing new recipes and being inspired by like minded entrepreneurs and readers ... View Post
Peach Parfaits
These fresh parfaits are bursting with the season's finest: peaches. Make these Peach Parfaits in advance for a quick weekday breakfast or snack. Eric and I landed in DC this morning and I wanted to pop into share a quick breakfast recipe that I've been enjoying all week. I meal prepped these Peach Parfaits on the weekend and they have made the most tasty, seasonal on the go breakfast. I'm thinking these may become a staple for me or at least a variety of them anyways, and as the seasons change I'll toss in different fruit to mix it up with whatever produce is in season. Mental note, these would be a convenient treat to fuel myself for breastfeeding, at least in those early months when I'm guessing I'll be running low on sleep. So tomorrow marks 28 weeks prego.. that's 7 months people. ... View Post
